Make Beats Like Dre

If you want to make beats that sound like other rappers’, FL Studio is a great tool. In fact, many famous songs, like Soulja Boy’s “Crank That” were made on FL Studio itself. Many classic beats can also be recreated.

This guy makes some pretty sick beats – you can check out this little tutorial of him making a Dr. Dre style beat on FL Studio. He has lots of other video tutorials on his Youtube channel.

He uses a Yamaha PSR E403 keyboard, FL Studio, Cubase, Reason, and some VST plugins.

Fernandez Beats

If the first video was a little too vague, or if you’re new to FL Studio, this video tutorial by Nelson Fernandez Jr. produces a similar beat, but goes into much more detail. In this video, you will learn to make your own drum beat from scratch, change bass frequencies, loop your songs, and add effects.
